Ododo assures of more jobs under his administration

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has assured residents of the state of plans to create more job under his leadership.

A statement issued by the Information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, James Sani, said, that the Governor disclosed this in a message at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Corps members deployed Kogi State for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Orientation Camp in Asaya.

Governor Ododo the statement added said his administration will work tirelessly to create job opportunities for unemployed Youths by revitalising key sectors of the economy in the state.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Anyebe through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Momoh Azzez , said government will provide positive management support needed to drive the growth and development of youths in the state.

He advised the newly deployed corps members to shun all forms of social vices and embrace the full advantage of the national programme to surpass the achievements of their predecessors.

The Governor used the occasion to assure of government’s commitment of taking steps to address some of the challenges facing the scheme in Kogi State, especially the upgrade of the orientation camp to compete favourably with modern camps across the nation.

Governor Ododo further advised them to abide by the camp rules and regulations as well as respect camp officials while congratulating them on the completion of their studies at that level, just as he assured them of their safety during their stay in Kogi State.

The Governor then commended the management and staff of the NYSC for their dedication towards ensuring a hitch free orientation programme and congratulated the newly appointed State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Chris-Moneke Tochi and assured her of his administration’s support to the scheme.

Speaking, the new Kogi State coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Chris-Moneke Tochi, warned the Corps Members to comply strictly with the rules and regulations of the camp.
