Supporters of James Abiodun Faleke, under the aegis of the Faleke Youth Vanguard, have declared total support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, ahead of the 2027 general elections, announcing the collapse of their political structure into the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State.
The group said the decision followed a directive from Faleke, signaling alignment with the leadership of the party at both national and state levels.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo described Faleke as a committed and selfless leader who has continued to invest in the service of the people.
He called on residents of the state to sustain their support for his administration, stressing that governance requires collective responsibility and unity of purpose.
The Governor urged political actors to work together in addressing the challenges facing the state, emphasizing the need for inclusive development rather than personal interests.
Governor Ododo also appreciated President Tinubu for his continued support to Kogi State, particularly in the area of infrastructure, and assured him of the loyalty of the people.
In a remark, Chairman of the Forum of Senior Special Assistants, Bode Adeyemi, described the group as a strong political force, noting that its decision reflects increasing unity within the APC in the state.
National Chairman of the Faleke Youth Vanguard, Kehinde Alamo, commended the Governor’s leadership style and pledged that members of the group would mobilize support across the 21 local government areas to ensure victory for the APC in 2027.
Other stakeholders at the event also praised Faleke’s endorsement of Governor Ododo, describing it as a step towards strengthening party cohesion and grassroots mobilization.
The event is seen as a significant move to consolidate unity within the APC in Kogi State ahead of the next general elections.
