The Police Service Commission (PSC), and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), have announced the commencement of physical and credential screening for the recruitment of 50,000 police constables nationwide.
According to a statement from the Police Service Commission Spokesperson, Torty Kalu said, the screening will start from March 9, 2026.
The statement added that, the screening exercise which will take place from March 9, 2026, will last till April 18, 2026, across designated locations in all states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Candidates who successfully completed the online registration process are required to log in to the recruitment portal (https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng) to check their status and print necessary documents, including the Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.
It noted that all the applicants must present the following documents at the screening venue: Invitation Slip with assigned table, Credential Screening Form, Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate, Birth certificate or declaration of age.
Others are, LGA/State of Origin certificate, Trade Test/Certificate (for specialists only),
Duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passports of referees attached.
In addition, candidates are advised to wear white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings to the screening centers.
Speaking on this, the Police Service Commission Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu, reiterated that the recruitment exercise will be free and transparent, while warning applicants to be cautious of online scammers and impostors.
