ANNOUNCEMENT

Regret to announce the passage of one of our former Editorial Staff, Mr. Edward Otene Agbo. He passed on last night, Saturday, 29th March, 2025, in Lokoja following a brief illness.

Mr. Agbo, born October 2, 1960, is a 1986 graduate of English from the University Ilorin. He joined The Graphic as Senior Features Writer in the last 1990s and rose through the ranks to the position of News Editor and Chairman, Editorial Board before retiring about five years ago.

He was variously on the Features Desk, The Graphic Correspondent (Govt House) and Features Editor.

He was a gentle, easy-going and pleasant personality with very calm mien.

PUBLIC INFORMATION RELEASE 

No date has been fixed for the burial of the Ogugu-born veteran journalist.

May his gentle soul rest in peace and we pray that God comforts the family he has left behind. May his soul Rest in Peace, Amen.
