•Initiative targets Primary 4, 5 and 6 pupils to promote academic excellence
Pupils of Primary 4, 5 and 6 in Schools across Ogori in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State, were full of smiles Thursday, as the 26th Age Group distributed exercise books, biros and chalk to schools across the community.
The distribution exercise, led by the Chairman of the 26th Age Group, Mr. Friday Moses, was described as a deliberate effort to promote educational excellence and ease the burden on parents and guardians.
According to Mr. Moses, the gesture was borne out of the Age Group’s commitment to investing in the next generation and ensuring that no child is denied basic learning materials due to financial challenges.

“It was a joyous moment for all of us and we believe that this gesture will go a long to ease the burden of parents and guardians”, the Chairman said during the distribution.
“We believe that by supporting our pupils with these little but essential items, we are laying a foundation for greater academic performance and brighter future for Ogori”, he added.
Members of the 26th Age Group were on ground to personally hand over the materials to pupils, amid cheers and appreciation from teachers, parents and school authorities.
The Age Group had noted that the support is part of its broader community service agenda aimed at complementing government efforts in the education sector and encouraging pupils to take their studies seriously.
Pictures from the event captured pupils proudly holding their new books, biros and packs of chalk – a sight the Age Group said represented hope, encouragement and community solidarity.
The 26th Age Group thanked all members, stakeholders and well-wishers who supported th initiative and pledged to sustain such interventions to uplift education in Ogori.
