The carnival like atmosphere was marked by solidarity songs and a sea of APC flags, with a huge crowd of youths, women, and other residents of the area hitting the streets in solidarity with the former governor.

Speaking during the home coming rally, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, said people of his constituency were committed to the victory of the party in the coming elections based on the much needed development it has attracted to the area.

He further emphasized that the loyalty and support of the electorate remains deeply rooted in the party’s achievements and it’s vision, just as he noted that the bond between the people and the APC was rooted by a shared commitment to provide dividends of democracy to the people.

Bello further maintained that the grassroots support base for the party was firmly intact adding that the overwhelming turnout during his homecoming was a pointer toward a decisive victory for the APC.

He used the occasion to reaffirm the party’s resolve to always prioritize the needs of the people.

“I have never doubted that my people are with me 100%. I have never doubted that my people are supporting the APC 100%. I have never doubted that my people will support and vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100%. I have never doubted that my people are with my governor, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo 100%.

“I have never doubted that my people are going to vote for me as the senator representing kogi Central and all our other candidates on the platform of the APC because they know very well what this party has done to liberate our people and bring the much needed development to the people ” Bello added.

He further stated that the APC has not deviated from it’s goal of ensuring that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy and as such, ” I want to assure Mr. President that the election in Kogi State and kogi Central in particular is as good as done 100% for APC”, he pointed out.

The APC Central senatorial candidate used the occasion to appreciate the people for their show of love and support displayed describing it as ” a strong bond which is rooted in our DNA”

Earlier in an interview with newsmen, the Former Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Kogi State, Alhaji Abdulllahi Bello had stated that the massive turnout of people during the homecoming of Alhaji Yahaya Bello was a strong indication of the confidence and continued support of the people for the former governor.

According to him, the party was well prepared and would leave no stone unturned in it’s determination to mobilize massive votes for Yahaya Bello’s victory during the forth coming general elections.

His words, ” I am not surprised at the massive turnout because Alhaji Yahaya Bello has done so much to the extent that every Ebira person, both young and old, men and women, so much believe in him. Even if you have only heard his name, you are moved to join the queue”.

While assuring that the election would be free, fair and peaceful, he commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his peaceful disposition.

He equally pointed out that the conducive atmosphere in the state had created an environment where residents could freely come out and participate in political, social and economic activities.
