Veteran Journalists visit late Edward Agbo’s family, donate 100,000

Forum of Veteran Media Executives (FVME) of Kogi State, has paid a glowing tribute to one of its fallen members, late Edward Agbo.

The Forum was led on a visit on Thursday by its president, Mr Bartholomew Ademu to the widow and the children he left behind.

Also on the commiseration visit were Pastor Abel Ada-musa, Mr. Simon Oyewole, Mr. Stephen Onoja and Mr. Innocent Idajili, (Secretary).

Speaking on behalf of the eminent retired media personalities, Mr Ademu prayed God in His mercy to console the family of the deceased.

He expressed hope that God would bring destiny helpers across their way, to ensure that they live a fulfilled life.

He pointed out that the death of Agbo was a colossal loss to the veterans and media practitioners in the state, among whom he gave a good account of himself as a journalist.

The FVME president reiterated that Mr. Agbo who was the News Editor of The Graphic Newspaper, until he retired, was a consummate journalist and an epitome of humility.

On behalf of The Forum, Mr. Ademu donated the sum of N100, 000 to the family as a token of love and support for the widow and the children he left behind.

He said that the gap late Agbo left behind, in the hearts of friends and well-wishers would be difficult to fill.

Forum of Veteran Media Executives is a group of retired media practitioner, (state or federal), who attained the cadre of a director before retirement.
