Dr Suberu Yusuf-John, has been appointed National Director of Transportation and Road Safety by the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) Support Group, a pro-presidency campaign organisation rallying support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by Architect Felix Arome, National Secretary of the group, on behalf of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, who authorised the decision. Yusuf-John was directed to assume duty with immediate effect.
In his new role, Yusuf-John is expected to coordinate campaign logistics and oversee safety operations across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
He currently serves as Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, and brings a background in transportation management and road safety administration to the position.
The appointment is widely seen as a strategic move that bolsters Yusuf-John’s standing as a frontline aspirant for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
Reacting to the appointment, Yusuf-John, expressed gratitude to Barrister Seyi Tinubu, RTIFN Director General, Hon Bala Ahmed, the National Secretary, and other stakeholders for the opportunity. He described the recognition as one that had further enhanced his political profile and reaffirmed his commitment to national service.
Commending the All Progressives Congress-led administration, he said: “The Renewed Hope Agenda and ongoing reforms are yielding positive impacts for Nigerians. Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 will no doubt place Nigeria on a stronger path of economic growth and development.”
A politician and philanthropist, Yusuf-John has recently intensified grassroots engagement through pre-election initiatives that include the award of scholarships to 40 students, the distribution of food items to over 1,500 indigent persons, and financial support to more than 100 small businesses.
