From David Onuoja, Abuja

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, believes that addressing social injustices is the key to achieving durable peace in Nigeria.

She said this, during a three-day capacity-building programme organised by the African Union (AU), in collaboration with the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM), held in Abuja.

She emphasised that social injustices can lead to feelings of marginalization, exclusion, and resentment, which can ultimately escalate into conflict.

To create a more just and peaceful society, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed the importance of promoting equality and fairness, ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities and is treated fairly.
