– As they qualify for final stage of KW-IRS 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition

Six secondary schools in Kwara State have advanced to the final stage of the 2024 Tax Club Quiz Competition, organized by the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) in collaboration with the state’s Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development.

These schools will compete for the grand prize of N2.5 million in Ilorin on November 7, 2024.

This was disclosed in a statement by Funmilola Oguntunbi from the KW-IRS Corporate Affairs Department, made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

The competition, which began with 83 schools out of 154 registered participants in the preliminary stages held between June 24 and July 4, saw 12 schools move on to the semi-final round.

The semi-finals, conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) on October 8 and 9, were monitored by the KW-IRS Tax Club Advocacy Committee and representatives from the Ministry of Education, including Mrs. Roseline Ayansola, Commissioner for Education.

The six schools that qualified for the final stage are Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College, Asa Dam; Government Secondary School, Lafiagi; Shepherd Secondary School, Lafiagi; Government Day Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi; Kwara State College of Education Model Secondary School, Oro; and Anglican Boys’ Academy, Oro.
