“The Chief Servant of Kogi State is taking decisive steps to safeguard the lives and property of our people”.

He noted that the appointment of AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd.), as Executive Chairman of the Security Trust Fund, reflects Governor Ododo’s dedication to ensuring a secure Kogi State, adding that Umar’s expertise and background in security have reassured many Kogites of the government’s proactive approach to security matters.

“Your appointment is a strong statement of intent from the Governor – a clear message to the people of Kogi that their safety is a top priority. It is also a direct warning to criminals that Kogi State remains a no – go area under this administration”, Fanwo echoed.

Fanwo had further assured AVM Umar of the Ministry of Information and Communications’ full support, particularly in information dissemination, public sensitization, and grassroots mobilisation against insecurity.

“Our ministry will continue to collaborate with you to ensure the success of your security initiatives. We are committed to keeping the public informed and engaged in safeguarding our state”, he added.

He further urged the Security Trust Fund to enhance and recalibrate the existing security architecture, ensuring continuous improvement to create a conducive environment for development and investment in Kogi State.

He further stressed that security is a collective responsibility, as an unsafe society affects everyone, maintaining that the desire of the administration is to make the state an irresistible investors’ destination.

Responding, AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd.), commended Governor Ododo for appointing a military professional to oversee the state’s security trust fund.

He also expressed gratitude to Fanwo for his unwavering support and appealed for continued collaboration, particularly in public awareness and strategic communication to strengthen security efforts across the state.

He promised to work hand -in -hand with other critical stakeholders to rid the state of all forms of criminalities.
