Onumoko’s family marks 10th anniversary of father’s demise

The Onumoko family recently marked the 10th-year death anniversary of their late father, Alhaji Aliyu Ismaila Onumoko.

To honor his memory, the family held a memorial service, where Dr. Habibat  Onumoko, the Kogi State Accountant General, spoke on behalf of the family.

Speaking with newsmen, she reflected on the values and principles their father instilled in them, which have guided them throughout their lives.

She reflected on the profound impact of the loss of their father on the family, and acknowledged that her father’s memory will live in their hearts and in the lives of all those who crossed his path.

During the service, the Islamic cleric, Alhaji Yahaya Mukadamu, praised Alhaji Onumoko’s life and commended the children for continuing to hold annual remembrance prayers.

This tradition he said is a testament to the lasting impact of their father’s love.

According to him, true leadership is about serving others and making positive impacts on the society. Noting that the late Alh. Aliyu Ismaila Onumoko taught his children the values of family, and the importance of building relationships with people.

He charged the children to continue to draw inspirations from the life and legacies of their late father.

The gathering also witnessed the wedding Fatiha of Hon. Bilikisu Onumoko and Engr. Yusuf Mohammed Ahovi, the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, in Okengwe, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
