Farmers in Omu-Aran Community, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, have commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for providing agricultural inputs to boost food security in the state.
In a statement, the Maize Farmers’ Contact Community Leader, Adebayo Kale Salau, described the introduction of the “Kwara State 2026 Wet Season Special Maize Intervention for Communities Affected by Banditry and Natural Disasters” for clustered maize farmers as a commendable initiative.
Salau said the invaluable support of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, which is aimed at ensuring food sufficiency during this period, is a welcome development and a step in the right direction.
He also commended the Honourable Commissioner for Livestock Development, who doubles as the Supervising Commissioner for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, for her resilience in ensuring that the intervention reached genuine farmers at the appropriate time.

According to him, the distribution of high-quality Golden Fertiliser, agrochemicals, and improved maize seedlings will have a significant positive impact on the livelihoods of the beneficiaries.
Salau thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for responding positively to the yearnings and aspirations of farmers in the state.
