The Kogi State Government has congratulated Dr. Hassan Ocholi, on his appointment as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

In a press statement issued and signed by Honourable Kingsley Fanwo, the Commissioner of Information and Communications, on Wednesday, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, appointed Dr. Ocholi to represent the North Central geopolitical zone on the Board.

Describing the appointment as “well-deserved,” the government said it reflects Dr. Ocholi’s distinguished record of service, academic excellence, professional competence, and commitment to national development.

“As a scholar with extensive experience in public administration, scientific research, policy engagement, and community development, Dr. Ocholi has consistently demonstrated the capacity, integrity, and vision required to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of tertiary education in Nigeria”, the statement read.

It added that his multidisciplinary background and wealth of knowledge will add significant value to the Board as it drives the transformation of the nation’s higher education sector.

The Government also commended President Tinubu for “finding another worthy son of Kogi State deserving of national service,” noting that the appointment reinforces the administration’s commitment to assembling capable Nigerians to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo expressed confidence that the new TETFund Board member, who hails from Oganenigwu in Dekina Local Government Area of the State, will justify the confidence reposed in him.

“The Governor wishes him a successful tenure and assures him of the support and goodwill of the Government and people of Kogi State as he undertakes this important national assignment,” the statement concluded.
