North Central Nigeria prays holds in Lokoja Oct. 26

The North Central edition of Nigeria Prays Rally for 2025, is to hold in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The event tagged “North Central Prayer Rally” with the theme, “And God Remembered”, will on Sunday, October, 2025.

In a statement signed by the Local Organising Committee Chairman, Bishop Kayode Ajibade, the venue for the prayer rally, will be Crowther Memorial Church, Lokoja and the event will start at 3:00pm.

The one-day event which is the brainchild of former Nigeria’s Military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, is aimed at praying for the continued peace, progress and unity of the country.

Ajibade revealed that the event holds annually across the country’s six geopolitical zones, adding that it is an avenue to raise and gather men/women that will continue to stand in the gap for the country.

While urging Christians from all walks of life to attend the prayer rally, Ajibade said there is enormous blessings for those who make out time to pray for their country.

“The bible enjoins us to pray for Jerusalem. Nigeria is our Jerusalem and therefore, it is incumbent on us to always pray for Nigeria”, he enthused.

He further said that the country, now more than ever, needs righteous men/women to go on the knees and pray for her.

Quoting the scripture, Ajibade, said that the bible is emphatic on why righteous people who are called by God’s name to cry onto God at all times so that He can hear them and heal the land.

The Prayer Rally, Ajibade, remarked is not one of those jamborees, but an answer to a divine calling by General Gowon.
