Major General Erema Akerejola, Chief of Logistics, Nigerian Army Headquarters, is one officer who has the heart and passion for doing good even though he often prefers to remain unsung

The Ogori-born Military top brass, has in more ways than one, done so many things to impact the lives of those who come across his path nationally and especially people from his community.

In 2024, he was instrumental to the Nigerian Army constructing and asphalting a 1.6km stretch of road to link the Community Comprehensive High School in Ogori with the township roads.

Not someone that craves for publicity, General Akerejola has often preferred that whatever he does to advance the cause of humanity and his community, should be away from the prying eyes of the media.

In recognition of his contributions, in 2024 during the annual Ovia Osese Festival, he was conferred with the highest award in the community – The Ogori National Merit Award- in recognition of his numerous contributions to the development of the community and wellbeing of his people, particularly the youth. He has championed and been part of a number social projects in the community.

Without doubt, General Akerejola is a silent achiever and in spite of his preference to stay off media limelight, like a golden fish, he has no hiding place.

His good deeds will always make him a reporter’s delight.
