Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has solicited stronger diplomatic partnerships to attract foreign investments and accelerate development in the state.

Governor Ododo, made the request on Monday during a courtesy visit by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaye, to his office in Abuja.
The Governor congratulated the Minister on him appointment, describing him as a seasoned diplomat whose experience will enhance Nigeria’s engagement with the global community.

“We are proud of your appointment. It is well deserved and a recognition of your distinguished career in diplomacy. We are confident you will justify the confidence reposed in you”, he said.
He assured the Minister of the state government’s readiness to collaborate in exploring opportunities for international cooperation, investment promotion, and development partnerships for Kogi people.

“Our administration will continue to engage accomplished Kogi sons and daughters serving in strategic positions. Together, we will build stronger partnerships and create more opportunities,” he added.
The Governor also appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the appointment.
Earlier, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said the visit was to align with the Governor’s development vision for Kogi State.
“I have come to align with Your Excellency’s vision and to assure you of my readiness to work with your administration in building strategic partnerships that will attract investments,” Enikanolaye stated.
He commended Governor Ododo for his commitment to security and inclusive governance, noting that Kogi has “immense potential” that should be projected to the international community.
“You have demonstrated that leadership is about service. Your achievements have inspired confidence,” the Minister said.
The meeting focused on areas of collaboration in trade, agriculture, and infrastructure development.
