Kogi NUJ inaugurates Press Week committee

Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has inaugurated the committee to plan for this year’s Press Week.

Inaugurating the committee at the Press Centre in Lokoja, the State Chairman of the Union, Mallam Seidu Haruna, stated that members of the committee were chosen as a result of the track record of their achievements and urged to bring their various experiences to bear for the success of the Press Week.

He admonished the members to put in their best and co-opt others who can help them to achieve the desired goal.

Mallam Seidu added that the Press Week will take place in September and urged them to fast track all the plans and preparations.

In his response, the Chairman of the committee, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh, who is the Zone D Vice President, thanked the Council for the responsibility entrusted to them.

He stated that they will do their utmost best for the success of the Press Week, and promised to deliver on the assignment.

Other members of the committee include: Mike Abuh- Secretary, Olusegun Oyenibi, Friday Idachaba, Deborah Agbonika, Emmanuel Oluwakorede and Treasure Abah.

The Press Week is slated for 19th -25th September, 2025.
