The Kogi State Government, has felicitated with former Secretary to the State Government and Deputy Chief of Staff to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Prince Olusola Akanmode, on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government described Prince Akanmode as “a consummate administrator and patriot” whose contributions to both state and national development remain indelible.

The statement recalled that Akanmode, as Secretary to the Kogi State Government, played a pivotal role in the formulation and implementation of policies that guided the state in its formative years, noting that his brilliance and sense of duty helped lay the foundation for a progressive Kogi.

At the national level, the government noted, Prince Akanmode distinguished himself as Deputy Chief of Staff to President Obasanjo, where he worked closely with the then Vice President and made significant contributions to governance at the highest level.

“His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, extends heartfelt congratulations to Prince Akanmode on this landmark celebration. We pray for continued good health, divine protection, and many more years of fruitful service to humanity,” the statement read.
