Governor Ododo distributes four vehicles to students, youth groups

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has distributed four vehicles to students and youth groups in Kogi State.

This gesture is designed to empower as well as boost their morale and encourage them to continue contributing their quota towards the development of the state.

A statement by the Information Officer of the Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, James Sani, the beneficiaries of the vehicles include: The National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Kogi State Youth Parliament, the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee (Kogi State chapter), and the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

Speaking at the event held in Lokoja, the governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honorable Monday Anyebe, Governor Ododo reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting the development of youths and students in Kogi State.

The governor acknowledged the importance of youth and students as backbones of any government and society, noting that the gesture symbolises the state’s dedication to building a brighter future for young people.

He assured the beneficiaries of sustained support and collaboration to enhance their growth and contributions to the state.

In his response, the National President of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), Dr. Jeremiah Elukpo, expressed gratitude to the governor for his unwavering support for youths and students.

He described the vehicles as valuable assets that would enhance the official activities of the organisations. Dr. Elukpo further pledged the loyalty and support of youth and student bodies to the current administration.

Dr. Elukpo also commended Hon.Anyebe for prioritising youth inclusion in the government’s initiatives.
