From BEN OGBODO, Ankpa

Friends and sympathisers gathered at the auditorium of St. Luke Catholic Church Agaliga Achipu in Olamaboro Local Government Area recently, to witness the burial of Chief Matthias Akpai Abuh, who died on the 5th June, 2024.

The late Royal Father, HRH Abuh before his transition, was the Omachi Oda Ojiji of Imane as officially beaded by His Royal Highness, Chief Ibrahim Calistus Salifu, the incumbent Oda Ojiji of Imane Kingdom.

He has his traditional seat of power situated at Agaliga Etukwo in Olamaboro Local Government Council of Kogi State.

Earlier in his sermon, the Guest Speaker, Rev. Fr. Adole Achilleus Ile (CSSP), described his transition as a glorious one, calling on the mourners to strive to live lives worthy of God.

While re-stating that the earth is a temporal place of dwelling, Fr. Adole urged all to be God fearing and charged the younger generation to keep off from youthful corrupt tendencies that are detrimental to them.

In his appreciation, the eldest son, Pastor Emmanuel Abuh of the Living Faith Church, Abuja, thanked the people for standing by them and their contributions towards making the burial successful.

Pastor Abuh in particular, expressed his acknowledgement to all the Catholic Priests from within and outside the state for gracing the occasion.

He on behalf of the family, pledged to continue from where their late father stopped and vowed to emulate the good legacies and the hospitable life he typified.

Left to mourn with many sons and daughters among who are: Pastor Emmanuel Abuh, Rev. Fr. Justice Abuh, Evangelist Maria Innocent Abuh and nine others.
