The newly appointed Chairman of Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Engineer Abdullahi Ramat, is to soon receive the full power as the Chairman of  NERC.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has written to the Senate, seeking the confirmation of his appointment as the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The letter which was read on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday by the Senate President, Senator Godwill Akpabio, stated that, president Tinubu seeks the confirmation in order to enable him fully be incharge of the Commission.

It could be recall that in August this year, President Tinubu appointed Engr. Abdullahi Ramat as the new Chairman/CEO, NERC, though subject to the Senate confirmation.
