Emir of Ilorin call on Kwara residents to uphold Peace, maintain Law and order

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has called on Kwara State residents to maintain peace and reject any actions that could disrupt law and order in the state.

In a statement released by his Spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir emphasised that dialogue is essential for fostering strong relationships between government and stakeholders.

He advised against participating in the planned nationwide protests, advocating instead for a focus on peace, security, and prosperity for Kwara State.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, highlighted the need for collective effort to uphold the rule of law and warned against using the guise of fundamental human rights to justify chaos.

He stressed that Kwara is globally recognized for its peaceful environment and the intellectual prowess of its people.

The Emir urged residents to support the government’s efforts to ensure the security of lives and property, and to continue praying for the state’s progress.

He cautioned against any actions that could lead to the destruction of lives, property, businesses, and infrastructure, which are crucial for the state’s development.
