Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitri, urging Kwarans to sustain the virtues of Ramadan beyond the fasting period.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, praying that Allah rewards their devotion and sacrifices.
Governor AbdulRazaq emphasised the need for continued acts of worship, charity, and self-discipline, stressing that the essence of Ramadan should reflect in daily interactions.
“As we bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan, I encourage our brethren to uphold the values of faith, kindness, and generosity. Let us continue to extend a hand of support to the less privileged and maintain the moral discipline we embraced during the fasting period,” he said.
He also called for moderation during the celebrations and urged Kwarans to foster unity and compassion. “As we gather for Eid prayers and festivities, let us remember the importance of moderation, strengthen bonds of brotherhood, and share with those in need. A strong and caring community is one we can all be proud of.”
The governor prayed for Allah’s continued blessings on the state and the nation, wishing all Muslims a joyous and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration.
