From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin

The Kwara State Police Command has issued a stern warning to residents, advising against participation in unauthorized protests, including the planned #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration.

DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, highlighted that recent protests in states such as Niger, Borno, Kano, and Yobe have led to violent clashes, resulting in significant loss of life and property damage.

“Following a recent court order, all protests must be held at the Metropolitan Square on Asa-Dam Road. The Post Office is not an approved location for demonstrations,” DSP Ejire-Adeyemi stated in a release issued to the press in Ilorin on Saturday.

The Police Command also urged protest organizers to consult with the Commissioner of Police to discuss necessary security arrangements and ensure the safety of all participants.
