Barr. Tanko bags outstanding public service leadership award

The Executive Chairman, Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Barrister Muhammed  Musa, has been confered with a prestigious award of Outstanding Public Service Leadership by the Nigerian Youth Congress,, North-Central Stakeholders Forum.

In a statement released by the Public Relations Officer, Igiku Mary, the Award presentation, which was held at the Office of the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Lokoja, was done as a testament to his unwavering dedication to transparency and ethical conduct.

According to the statement, Hon Tanko, while receiving the award, thanked the organisers of the event for considering it important to recognise him, and be awarded with such Prestigious Award,

He described the recognition as being timely and needed, especially at this time when the society requires advocating for truth and integrity in Service.

The Chairman, ascribed the success of the Commission so far to the collective efforts of management and staff.

Earlier, the Chairman, North-Central Stakeholders Forum of Nigerian Youth Congress, Comrade Alfa Ebune, while presenting the award, described Barister Tanko”s leadership style as a roboust one, characterised by open communication, transparency and integrity, which is inspiring to the new generation of civil servants.

“Your approach to governance reflects your belief that, public service is a sacred trust, consistently advocating for policies that promotes transparency in governance process”, he said.

Describing the Chairman as an outstanding personalty, he desclosed that, the award was to appreciate him for his selfless service to the people, and to encourage him in the line of diligence, truth, justice and fairness.

Present also at the occasion, was the Permanent Secretary and the Directors of the Commission.
