The Executive Chairman of Alkaleri Local Government Area, Hon. Garba Bajama, has commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his people-oriented projects, describing the state as a model for peace and good governance in Africa.
Bajama spoke in Bauchi while responding to questions from journalists.
He expressed confidence in winning the upcoming local government elections in Bauchi State, noting that his administration is fully prepared for the polls. He cited efforts to improve lives and protect property across the LGA as proof of performance.
The chairman also called on stakeholders to support the APM political party ahead of both local government and national elections.
Highlighting his achievements, Bajama said more than 200 people had benefited from skills acquisition and empowerment programs under his leadership. He described the initiative as part of Governor Mohammed’s commitment to improving livelihoods.
He added that his administration has also invested heavily in agricultural inputs to promote year-round sustainable farming.
When asked about his advice to young people, Bajama described youths as the backbone of society. He urged them to remain focused, committed, and dedicated to building a greater society for all, regardless of geography or political affiliation.
Bajama concluded by urging stakeholders to drive stronger economic transformation initiatives aimed at tackling poverty, unemployment, and frustration across Nigeria, especially for the poor.
