Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, recently paid a condolence visit to Oke Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area, where he sympathised with families affected by the recent kidnappers’ attack that claimed lives in the besides

Speaking during the visit, the Governor, prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and commended the security agencies, forest guards and vigilante groups for their swift response in repelling the attackers.
He assured residents that Government is working round the clock with security forces to restore lasting peace across the affected communities.
“We have come to commiserate with the community over the unfortunate attacks. It is also to commend the security forces, forest guards, and vigilantes for their efforts in restoring peace. It has been quite challenging, but everything is being put in place to end such occurrences and secure our people,” AbdulRazaq said.
The Governor extended his condolences to other communities affected by similar incidents in Ifelodun, Irepodun, Isin, Ekiti, Edu, and Patigi local government areas, noting that the state would not relent until the menace is fully tackled.
AbdulRazaq was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo; State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS); the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Umar Mohammed; his Senior Special Assistant on Security, Muyideen Aliyu; and Chairman of Ifelodun LGA, Hon. Femi Yusuf.
He also held meetings with security chiefs and community stakeholders, including the National President of Oke Ode Development Association, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ajala; Elder Oyin Zubair; and the community’s youth leader, who briefed him on the situation.
The Governor had earlier issued a public statement condoling with the affected communities, stressing that more proactive steps will be taken to protect lives and properties across the state.
