Governors’ Forum mourns Katsina Governor’s mother

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), has extended its condolences to the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the forum paid tribute to the late nonagenarian, describing her as a woman of service, devotion, and dignity.

The governors commiserated with the government and people of Katsina State, as well as the bereaved family, including her children and grandchildren.

“Our prayers and thoughts are with His Excellency, his family, and the people of the state in this moment of grief. We also send our condolences to Her Excellency, Hajiya Hauwa Radda, who was a wife of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, GCFR,” the statement read.

The forum also offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest. “We ask Allaah to ease the account of Hajiya Safara’u, lighten up and widen her grave, and admit her to Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also pray to Allaah to uphold the family upon goodness.”

Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Barebari, was a revered matriarch in Katsina, and her passing has been met with an outpouring of sympathy from across the state and beyond.
