Kogi begins data capturing for 2024/2025 WAEC registration

Kogi State Ministry of Education is to commence data capturing of students in Senior Secondary school (SSS3), for 2024/2025 WAEC Registration across public schools in the state.

According to the statement by the WAEC desk Officer, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Moraiyewa Iyabo, the exercise which is in preparation for the examination, will start from Monday 13th of January, 2025.

The statement which was made available to The Graphic, notified all Public Secondary School Principals that “teams from the Consultant handling WAEC data capturing, will be visiting schools starting from Monday 13th of January, 2025 for data capturing of their students.”

Recall that the state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo released funds for the payment of 2024/2025 WAEC fees for students in public schools across the State.

The gesture aims to ensure access to quality education, reduce the number of out of school children and reduce financial burdens on parents.

According to the statement, since 2016, the state has prioritised education, dedicating a substantial 30% of its budget to the sector.

The ministry used the medium to urge principals to cooperate with the teams for a seamless exercise.
