Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to advancing infrastructural development and fostering unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Speaking during a meeting with the Ifelodun APC Elders’ Council in Ilorin, the state capital, the Governor, emphasised the importance of unity and mutual understanding as the foundation for the party’s continued success.
“I want us to strengthen and deepen the spirit of working together. A divided house will lead us nowhere,” AbdulRazaq stated.

“Unity is always essential. If we are divided, people will take advantage of us. Let us work together and look forward to a year of prosperity, stability, and proper engagement among ourselves.”
The Governor commended the Elders’ Council, led by Senator Makanjuola Ajadi, for their support and contributions to the party’s growth.
He pledged to address pressing demands in the areas of road construction, social amenities, and political appointments, noting that some projects, such as the Orisa bridge connecting Irepodun and Ifelodun local governments, have already been completed.
AbdulRazaq also expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of some contractors handling road projects, including the Ora township road, and assured the elders that necessary steps were being taken to resolve the issues.
Senator Ajadi, speaking on behalf of the council, lauded the Governor’s achievements, which he said were evident across the state.

“In Babanloma, for instance, we have seen road construction, hospital rehabilitation, and school upgrades. However, we urge Your Excellency to address critical roads like the Oro-Ago to Oke-Oyan road, which is in dire condition.”Ajadi remarked.
APC Chairman in Ifelodun, Arch. Lukman Abubakar, also appreciated the administration’s efforts, particularly the interventions on the Ajase-Ipo/Igbaja road. He appealed for attention to other roads, including the Igbaja-Oke-Ode/Sagbe and Marafa/Oke-Ode roads.
Other members of the delegation, including Alhaji M.T. Lawal, Alhaji AbdulRahoof Bello Labelabe, Alhaja Barakat Atunse, and Hon. Nike Ayilara, echoed the calls for more developmental projects while commending the administration’s strides in Ifelodun.
The Governor reassured the elders of his administration’s dedication to equitable development across the state and urged them to maintain peace and unity within the party.
