Adamawa LGA election: Political parties sign peace accord

Political parties in Adamawa State sign a peace accord Ahead of 13th July Scheduled Local Government areas election

The peace accord was organized by Jimeta Unity Consultation Forum brought together political Stakeholders and party stalwarts of various political parties to brainstormed on the conduct of the forthcoming Local Government election.

Emphasis were made for all candidates to tow the path of peace and exercise the spirit of sportsmanship and comradeship for Peace to reign in Jimeta, the State Capital.

Honorable Ahmed Lawan made a passionate appeal for the parties to remain calm and make sure their party members tow the path of peace.

He however reiterated that the government of Gov.Umaru Fintiri revolves around Peace urged all political parties to ensure peace during and after the election.

According to him Govenor Fintiri is bringing meaningful development to the State because of the lasting peace he is enjoying and will not condone any form of rascality against the Peaceful nature of the state because of the election scheduled for 13th July 2024.

He called on citizens to go about their normal life and exercise their franchise right as law abiding people before, during and after the election.

Hon. Lawan disclosed that the Local Government election is first of it’s kind for a peace pack to be Signed, warned that anyone bridging law and order will face the wrath of the Law and the Law will be fierce on any political Party fermenting trouble or fanning embers of thuggery.
