Gov. Ododo sacks LG Chairman for diverting palliatives

In his replacement, the governor has appointed Mr Musa Muhammed Lawal as the new Transition Chairman for Ofu Local Government.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi Stare has removed the transition Chairman of Ofu Local Government Council, Hassan Atawodi for allegedly diverting the palliatives allocated to his area.

In his replacement, the governor has appointed Mr Musa Muhammed Lawal as the new Transition Chairman for Ofu Local Government.

The Secretary to the Government, Mrs Folashade Ayoade, on Monday confirmed the removal of Atawodi in a statement in Lokoja.

The statement directed Atawodi to submit all government property in his possession to the new Chairman.

The statement also directed Hassan Atawodi to handover all the affairs of the council and submit handing-over note to the new transition chairman immediately.
