In recognition of his contributions to the development of Kogi State, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has renamed the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, in honour of former Governor, late Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
Governor Ododo announced the renaming on Thursday, during the 40th-day Fidau prayers for the late former Governor held at his country home in Omala Local Government Area of the state.
According to the Governor, the gesture is part of his administration’s commitment to recognising the contributions of past leaders to the growth of Kogi State.
He said the renaming is a tribute to the legacy and developmental strides recorded during the administration of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, fondly called Ibro, and is intended to immortalise leaders who played pivotal roles in laying the foundation for the state’s development.
