Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, remains committed to these and many other initiatives aimed at strengthening the broadcasting sector.”

The Commissioner commended the management of the Corporation for improved programming, quality news delivery and wide reach across the state.

He noted that radio remains one of the most trusted platforms for disseminating government policies, especially to rural communities.

He added that the Ododo administration is recording progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and security, and will continue to use broadcasting to keep citizens informed.

Fanwo also announced that awards would be presented to deserving Kogites during the anniversary celebration in recognition of their contributions to the development of the state.

He said the gesture is aimed at inspiring excellence and greater service to humanity, and assured the Corporation of the Ministry’s full support.

In her remarks, the Director-General of the Corporation, Princess Nana Hauwa Yussuff, expressed appreciation to the Commissioner and the state government for their support to the Corporation.

“Radio Kogi has been the voice of the state and its people for 35 years. We have served diligently and this anniversary gives us the opportunity to celebrate our achievements and also seek renewed commitment towards strengthening public broadcasting in the state,” she said.

Princess Yussuff appealed for continued collaboration from the Ministry of Information and Communications to ensure that the anniversary celebration is successful and impactful.
