The 33 artillery Brigade in Bauchi State, has conferred an Award of Excellence to the SSA Security Matters, Dr Umar Shayi to Governor Bala Mohammad.
This development, was disclosed in a statement, made available to the media by Abdullahi Idris, Head of media and communications strategy in the office of the SSA.
“This historic and prestigious award is another testament of your commitment and dedication in protecting Iives and properties across the state”, it stated.

Meanwhile, this award is another positive turning point of excellence and professionalism while discharging an outstanding obligations and performance of the SSA’s security matters,the statement reads in part
It’s recalled that Ambassador Shayi, holds the position of Director General Bauchi state vigilante and youth empowerment agency, ACG operations of Nigeria hunters and forestry security service, as well as Commander General of the said agency.
Dr shayi, has been eminently and effectively engaged in the fight against terrorism and banditry across Bauchi state and beyond in collaboration with all security agencies.
Responding to the award, Dr Shayi, pointed out that he has dedicated the historic award plaque to the good people of Bauchi state and in sustaining humanity, peace, development and democracy.
He equally appreciated the opportunity given to him to serve Bauchi under the administration of Governor Bala Mohammad.
He commended all security agencies in the state for an outstanding performance, honesty, commitment and professionalism while ensuring it fulfills its mandate.
