A community leader and philanthropist, Hon. Mabe Okai, has empowered over 30 indigent youths of Idah Local Government Area to sit for the 2026 JAMB-UTME.

Also, over 50 bags of rice were donated to widows in Idah Local Government Area by the same philanthropist.

The gesture is in line with her commitment to ease financial burdens for families, boost youth education, and support vulnerable women.

Handing over the Jamb slips to registered candidates, Hon.Made Okai, encouraged the beneficiaries to choose courses that will equip them with practical skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing economy.

According to her, embracing skill acquisition and vocational training, will equip youths to combat unemployment, reduce social vices, and foster self-reliance.

She used the forum to advise the candidates to be focused, determined and work assiduously to excel in their JAMB-UTME.

Hon. Mabe Okai who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Iko Ukola Mabe, promised to be a shinning light and role model to youths. Just as she pleged to continue to give back to the people of her constituency in Idah to enable them live comfortable lives.

She further demonstrated her humane disposition to alleviate the suffering of many widows in Idah with the donation of food items to assist them especially during this Ramadan fasting period and beyond.

Hon. Okai reminded widows of the need to have faith in Almighty Allah who she noted will see them live a good and prosperous life

The philanthropist equally charged widows to guide and ensure the proper upbringing of their children while encouraging them to shun all forms of social vices in the interest of their future and well being.

She went on to urge them to prioritise the practice of fostering peace in their localities.

High point of the event was the distribution of over 50 bags of rice to the widows in the area.

Reacting to the gesture, Muhammed Salifu and Madam Lami Ochede, prayed God to guide and protect Hon. Mabel Okai in all her undertakings

They assured her that they will be good ambassadors of their families, localities and Idah community in general. And that they will not derail in the task nor abuse the confidence reposed on them.
