The Managing Director of The Graphic Newspaper, Mr Yusuf Itopa, has enjoined staff of the Editorial and Production Departments to step up their dedication to duty in the coming year,

Mr. Itopa gave the charge during the corporation’s end‑of‑year editorial meeting in The Graphic newsroom in Lokoja.

He urged them to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities in their respective beats and assignments in the coming year for improved service delivery, productivity, and national development.

The MD equally appreciated The Graphic Editorial Board for their cooperation and hard work throughout the year 2025, just as he praised the contributions of staff of the corporation towards the attainment of the newspaper’s objectives in the outgoing year.

He also used the occasion to re-emphasise the need for discipline and good conduct by reporters in the office and more importantly when representing the newspaper outside the office.

while asssuring that staff welfare will continue to hold a prominent place in his agenda, Itopa encouraged staff of both departments to continue performing their duties with utmost dedication.

Earlier, the Executive Editor, Mr. James Oyewole, called for renewed commitment, diligence, passion and devotion to duty in the coming year. Just as he encouraged reporters to improve on themselves for efficient service delivery.

He equally charged them to resume with renewed zeal and exemplary devotion to duty and always give their best in whatever assignments they are given after the festive season.

According to him, as reporters, it was important to have self‑confidence and be focused in order to be useful even outside their comfort zones, saying learning is a continuous process in life.

Mr. Oyewole also used the occasion to advise reporters with difficulties in any area to challenge themselves, work hard, and be dedicated to their duties.

He then thanked the reporters for their cooperation and wonderful contributions throughout the year.

In her contribution, the News Editor, Mrs. Josephine Ali, while appreciating reporters for their efforts in keeping the newspaper going, advised them to always be their own editors by being meticulous with their work.

She urged staff of the Editorial department to recommit to professionalism and strive for excellence while observing the need for reporters to redouble their efforts and be more dedicated to their work than before.
