The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has sworn-in new Commissioner and key appointees.

In a ceremony held at the Government House, Governor Mohammed, officially swore in Hajiya Hadiza Kango. as the new Commissioner for the Ministry of Higher Education and Regional Integration. She replaces Dr. Lydia Tsammani, who has been redeployed to head the Ministry of Women Affairs.

This reshuffle follows the removal of Hajiya Zainab Babantakko, from her role as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.

Additional appointments include: Jummai Abubakar – Chairperson, Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, Iliya Isah – Executive Chairman, Dambam Local Government, Babaji Shehu – Auditor General for Local Government and Abubakar Misau – Permanent Commissioner, Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission.

The Governor, charged the newly appointed officials to uphold the principles of transparency, dedication, and alignment with the administration’s policy direction. He emphasised the importance of teamwork and accountability in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Bauchi State.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Abubakar Misau, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve and pledged their collective commitment to justifying the confidence reposed in them.

Government had earlier informed the public of a strategic cabinet adjustment, aimed at enhancing service delivery and aligning governance with the administration’s development priorities.
