In a remarkable show of support for youth development through sports, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim, has sponsored Ebira-born footballer, Siyaka Abdulrasheed, with a ₦6 million donation to enable him travel to Kuwait and pursue his professional football career.

Speaking on the gesture, Alhaji Ibrahim, explained that discovering and nurturing young talents is a responsibility he takes seriously.

He emphasised the importance of providing opportunities for gifted individuals to achieve their dreams, especially in ways that can bring pride and recognition to their communities.

“When you identify a young person with such rare talent, supporting him is not just a gift — it’s an investment in the future of our people,” he said. “I believe Siyaka will make the Ebira Nation proud on the global stage.”

In an emotional statement before his departure, Abdulrasheed, expressed deep gratitude to Alhaji Ibrahim for transforming his life through this golden opportunity. “This sponsorship has changed my story,” Abdulrasheed said. “I pray that Almighty God continues to bless and uplift Alhaji Ahmed for believing in me.”

He also assured his colleagues and the entire Ebira football community that he would work hard to excel and bring honor to his people in Kuwait and on the international football scene.

This gesture by the philanthropist has been widely applauded by residents, sports enthusiasts, and youth advocates, who see it as a strong statement of faith in local talent and an encouragement for others to invest in the dreams of young people.
