The Chairman of the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC), has called on all the Commissioners to intensify mobilisation efforts for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

A directive issued by KOSIEC Chairman, Hon. Mamman Nda Eri, emphasised that broad participation in the CVR is essential to strengthening Nigeria’s democracy and ensuring credible elections.

According to a press statement by the Public Relations Officer, Modupe Adegboro, the Chairman charged Commissioners to actively engage their constituents, sensitise communities, and encourage every eligible citizen to register and obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

“To achieve this, Commissioners have been directed to: Use social media and other digital platforms to spread awareness, partner with community leaders, youth groups, religious bodies, and civil society organisations to deepen outreach at the grassroots, provide regular feedback on mobilisation activities, challenges, and recommendations,” it stated.

Hon. Eri stressed that the exercise is a civic duty that must be treated with urgency, noting that inclusiveness in the electoral process guarantees stronger democratic institutions.
