Sympathizers have continued to troop to the residence of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, to condole with the family over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
The bereaved Governor, received several dignitaries in the past days from within and outside Kogi State.
Top on the list of the recent dignitaries was the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
During the visit, Mallam Ribadu, offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
Governor Ododo expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the NSA for the visit and his kind words of sympathy. He commended Mallam Ribadu for his steadfast commitment to addressing security challenges in Kogi State and across Nigeria.
The NSA was received at the Governor’s residence by the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Bello; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello; and other senior government officials.
Also, former Senate President, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, paid a condolence visit to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Chief Anyim extended his heartfelt sympathy, urging the Governor to accept the will of the Almighty and find comfort in the remarkable life of the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
In response, Governor Ododo expressed his sincere gratitude to Chief Anyim for his kindness and support, noting that the visit provided great comfort to the entire family.
The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), led by its Chairman, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, equally paid a condolence visit to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
He was joined by the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to receive the delegation at his residence in Abuja over the demise of his father, Pa Ahmed Momohsani.
Governor Ododo had earlier received the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, who was accompanied by his political mentor and former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, on a condolence visit at the Government House in Lokoja.
Other notable dignitaries include Mosra Energy boss, Kayode Ramos, who led his management team on Condolence Visit to Kogi Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Governor Ododo also played host to one of Kogi State’s foremost philanthropists and Chairman of the GROSVENOR Group of Companies, Prince Olatunji Olusoji, who was accompanied by friends and political associates, including the Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim.
