Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command, has arrested a 30-year-old man, identified as Peter, for allegedly killing his biological father and disposing of his corpse in a well.

The suspect, who resides in Sangere village, Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was arrested following a report received by police operatives in the area.
In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly killed his father and dumped the body in a well within the community.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kabiru Umar Hassan, has ordered a discreet and thorough investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The corpse has since been recovered and deposited at the mortuary for autopsy.
CP Hassan condemned the act in strong terms and reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to ensuring justice is served. He also urged members of the public to seek lawful and peaceful means of resolving family disputes and to involve relevant authorities whenever conflicts arise.
The Police Commissioner added that the suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations, and further developments will be communicated in due course.
