The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has congratulated the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV, and the Mayaki of Kupa, HRH Alhaji Pharmacist Dauda Kabir Isah, on their first anniversary.

The Speaker expressed gratitude to the traditional rulers for their leadership and positive socioeconomic impact on their domains.

He noted that Lokoja, the state capital, has experienced significant positive changes, with increased unity and improved relationships among ethnic groups under the current Maigari’s leadership.

Similarly, the Kupa Kingdom he said, has witnessed rapid socioeconomic growth since the present Mayaki assumed office.

The Speaker urged the traditional rulers to continue providing leadership to their people, emphasising that their traditional headship is crucial to the progress of Lokoja Local Government and the state.
