Obaro of Kabba applauds Prof Ogbo’s accomplishments, assures support

The Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Awoniyi, has applauded the rapid transformation recorded under the leadership of Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman at Kogi State Polytechnic with an assurance of sustained support for the management.

Oba Awoniyi who gave the commendation during a visit to the Polytechnic on Monday 13th January, 2024, said the progress is a testament to the Rector’s hardwork and leadership style.

He commended him for his humility and respect for traditional institution which he described as a testament to his character.

The royal father congratulated the Rector on his reappointment for a second term and his attainment of Professorship.

The Obaro acknowledged that the Rector’s dedication to progress has helped in shaping the curriculum, operations and outputs of the Polytechnic.

He noted that this was only possible through the guiding principles of discipline, industriousness, determination, service, integrity, sound education and quality leadership.

Oba Awoniyi who reaffirmed his continued support for the management, offered prayers for the sustained growth and success of the Polytechnic.

Speaking, the Rector, Professor Ogbo Usman who appreciated the Obaro of Kabba for the inspiring royal visit, highlighted the polytechnic’s unique features with its diverse student body, especially the attraction of students from not less than 26 states.

Professor Usman emphasised that the spread in the students’ diversity underscored the Polytechnic’s commitment to inclusivity, setting it apart from other institutions.

The royal father’s commendation for the Polytechnic’s management and the Rector highlights the vote of confidence in the institution’s leadership and it is expected to boost morale of stakeholders within the institution.
