NSCDC nabs three suspects for defiling 12-year-old girl in Kwara

The Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command, has arrested three suspects; Adeleke Oke, 81, Sikiru Lawal 37 and Moshood Suleiman Ayinde 37 yrs for allegedly defiling a 12 year old girl in offa, Kwara State.

This was contained in a statement issued by Spokesman of the state command Ayoola Michael Shola and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

The suspects were apprehended on Sunday, following a report lodged by the victim’s father at the NSCDC Offa Division.

The case was transferred to the Gender Unit of the command for further investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the three suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions and threatened her not to open up to anyone about the illicit acts.

Furthermore, a detailed medical examination confirmed that the victim’s hymen was ruptured and provided clear evidence of repeated sexual penetration.

The suspects confessed to the crime and will be charged to court for onward prosecution.

The NSCDC Sate Commandant, Dr. Umar  Mohammed, vehemently condemned the despicable act, urging the good people of the state to partner with the Corps in its efforts to combat defilement, rape, and other sexual offenses.
