Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfe the fourth, has called on Christians to reflect soberly on the importance of Christmas in order to right their past wrongs.

In a Christmas message on Tuesday in Lokoja, the Maigari said the reflection on the essence of the season would help at strengthening their relationship with God through godly living.

The traditional ruler noted that Christ was a symbol of love, peace and other virtuous which should serve as example to believers of Christ.

The Maigari of Lokoja felicitated with Christians in Lokoja local government and the state at large, calling for true worship and sacrificial living among the people.

Maigari said : “Lokoja Emirate Council is pleased to celebrate with our Christian brothers and sisters and we are enjoying christian prayers, which you offer to God, and your cooperation with Muslims in the Lokoja traditional council, especially at this festive season.

He harped on unity, saying that “The unity between the Christians and the Muslims should be sustained, because the Christian religion is peaceful, and adherents should follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

Alhaji Ibrahim also expressed appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the early payment of salaries which he noted, has reduced financial tension among the celebrants and the people.

The Maigari urged Christians to pray more for the present administration in the state as well as promote peaceful Coexistence among the various religious adherents.
