The wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), governorship candidate in Kwara State, Hajia Zainab Kawu, will on Monday, August 31, 2026, mark her 56th birthday with the launch of the Arike Hopeful Hearts Foundation and a free health outreach for women.
The event will hold at the family house of her husband, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, in Agaka, Ilorin.
According to organisers, the day will feature the official unveiling of the Arike Hopeful Hearts Foundation and its logo. The foundation is designed as a humanitarian platform focused on women, children and other vulnerable persons in society.

As part of the activities, the foundation will conduct free medical checks and screenings for common health conditions, including diabetes and hypertension. Participants will also receive consultations, prescribed medications and health education.
Medical doctors and health professionals will be on ground to speak on the causes, prevention and management of diabetes and hypertension. Special sessions will focus on post-menopausal health, self-awareness and the dangers of self-medication.
Organisers said the health education component is aimed at equipping women with practical knowledge on early warning signs, when to seek medical help, and how to make informed health decisions, especially as they age.
Speaking ahead of the event, Hajia Zainab, said the initiative reflects her long-standing commitment to service and supporting women and children. She noted that the foundation will institutionalise that commitment and ensure sustained interventions for people who struggle to access basic healthcare.
“Service to humanity should go beyond holding public office. This foundation is our way of giving back and bringing hope to families, particularly women who carry the burden of the home,” she said.
The initiative also aligns with the community development values associated with her husband, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, whose public engagements have focused on service to the people within and outside Kwara State.
The philosophy of “O dá ní ilé, ó dá níta”, being impactful both at home and beyond, captures the spirit of the celebration, which combines thanksgiving with direct service to the people.
The 56th birthday is therefore expected to go beyond fanfare, as Hajia Zainab uses the occasion to unveil a platform dedicated to promoting wellbeing and creating lasting impact.
Women and members of the public interested in the free health outreach are invited to attend the programme at the Agaka family house on Monday, August 31, 2026.
