Kogi State begins state wide property enumeration programme

Kogi State Bureau of Lands, has embarked on a comprehensive property enumeration exercise aimed at driving development and growth across the state.

The initiative, launched by the Bureau’s Director General, Abdulmalek Teina, seeks to achieve multiple objectives that will have a profound impact on the state’s economy and residents’ quality of life.

The Director General who was represented at the flag off by Permanent Secretary, Samuel Tayo, emphasised that the exercise aims to streamline property identification, reduce land disputes, and enhance security services. It also seeks to ensure the provision of essential social amenities, facilitate effective physical planning and development, and unlock opportunities for wealth creation.

He also added that initiative will also create an enabling environment that fosters economic growth, encourages investment, and promotes development, the Kogi State government hopes to attract foreign and local investors, create ease of business transactions, and improve the overall standard of living for residents.

The Director General, praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his financial backing, which has been instrumental in driving the initiative forward.

This support is a testament to Governor Ododo’s commitment to transformative leadership, as evident in his first year in office, marked by groundbreaking achievements across various sectors.

The property enumeration exercise is a significant step towards transforming Kogi State into a hub for economic growth and development.
