Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ismaila Isah, has called for robust partnership between the institute and the state ministry of Health.
Isah who doubles as the Special Adviser on Media to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, made the call during an advocacy visit of the institute to the state ministry of Health at its headquarters in Lokoja.
The Kogi State NIPR Chairman, said the essence of the institute offering synergy with Ministries and agencies is to ensure that the good image of the state and her activities of are made open to the global community.
Isah applauded the state ministry of Health for her team work which has resulted in the expansion of health care delivery system across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state. He assured the ministry of the institute’s co-operation at all times.
In his response the state Coordinating Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Enoch Maaji, thanked the Executive members of the institute for the advocacy visit. He said the ministry is quite aware of the important roles the institute is playing in the state.
Maaji noted that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has done so much in expanding access to health care in the state. He said the governor through the state ministry of health has upgraded over two hundred primary health care facilities across the twenty one Local Government Areas of the state.
The Permanent Secretary further stated that the Commissioner of Health, Dr Abdulazeez Adeiza is a workholic administrator who is positively changing the narrative of the health sector in the state. He assured the state chapter of the institute, of the ministry’s co-operation with its activities in the state.
